The New Testament writers as well as the fathers of the church saw the entire story of God from Genesis to Revelation, from creation to re-creation through the incarnation, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Thus the Bible nourishes us not because we can prove it . . . but because it reveals Jesus Christ, the second Adam, who reconciles all things to God (Col. 1:20), who now lives in us and calls us into the new humanity.
