Nov 23, 2020: Christ the King

Robert E. Webber

The Feast of Christ the King is an appropriate segue into Advent. . . . By pointing to the ultimate reign of Christ over all the peoples of the world, over all the nations, and over the entire cosmos, the church prepares its people to approach Christmas in the right spirit—the babe has come to die for our sin, to conquer all the powers of evil, and to reign as Lord over his entire creation! In this expectation we are to be spiritually formed. By bowing our knees to Christ we are inviting the cosmic Lord of history to take up residence in our hearts and lives and to be Lord of life now in this and in every moment of our thought, feelings, and actions.
