Feb 1, 2021: Christianity for Today

Robert E. Webber

Where do we find a Christianity that speaks meaningfully [today]? The classical tradition appears to be the most productive. It was shaped by mystery, holism, interpreted facts, community, and a combination of verbal and symbolic forms of communication. Therefore, our challenge is not to reinvent Christianity, but to restore and then adapt classical Christianity to the [current] culture.
