Worship is first upward and then outward. If we concentrate on the outward, it will not go upward. But if we focus on the upward, offering our worship in content, structure, and style to God, the theology will inform our heart, the order will deepen our relationship, and the symbolic will function as the praise of the whole person. This kind of worship will draw the seeker and nourish the faithful in a postmodern world.
