Baptism speaks to [the] human predicament. It says that there is only one person who is the solution to the problem [of good vs. evil]. His name is Jesus. He was condemned for us all. By his death he has destroyed the consequence of sin (death), and by his resurrection he has begun a new humanity. We are called to a new life in the Spirit in this community, the church, his body in the world.
