Doing God’s Story in Worship: Assessing the Impact of Christian Nationalism
on the Church’s Sanctuary

The first day of the two-day seminar began with an introduction to Christian Nationalism by our speaker Dr. Lester Ruth. The rest of the day focused on four classic theologies of worship: a narrative-based approach; an eschatological approach, a Trinitarian approach; a Christ-centered approach. The second day featured a look at several examples of Christian Nationalism as expressed in Christian worship followed by evaluation through the lens of those theologies. The examples included assessment of videos from actual services. To avoid public discussion of individuals and churches, those session recordings are not available, however, the presentation slides are posted below.
