During the COVID-19 pandemic, New Student Orientation is mostly being conducted online. Check with the Admissions Office regarding the time you should report to campus.

New Student Orientation normally begins on the first Wednesday of each On-Campus Intensive. All new students enrolling in the masters and doctoral programs (including students moving from the MWS program into the DWS program) are expected to attend Orientation, which is designed to facilitate community-building, train students in research techniques, and equip them to use the technological tools required for IWS. Students should plan to arrive on Wednesday by 9:00 AM, and Orientation will conclude in time for the Presidential Address at 3:30 PM. Lunch will be provided.

A detailed schedule will be posted closer to the Intensive. If you have any questions about Orientation, please contact Sandy Dinkins, Director of Student Services, at 800-282-2977 x101.
