Sep 17, 2018: Preparing to Meet God

Robert E. Webber

God wants us to internalize him, to take him into ourself, into our mind, our soul, our spirit, our will. . . . For this reason, it is important for us to take time before worship begins to be quiet, to meditate, and to prepare to meet our God. Kneeling in reverence or sitting quietly with our feet flat on the floor, our hands resting in the lap, and our headed bowed in a posture of humble anticipation are symbols of our preparation for the act of worship.
